CARLA WILSON AND ALL AMERICAN COUNTRY
Custom Page
Carla has been singing since the age three, growing up in the small town of Maysville, Kentucky. Her influences run from Emmylou Harris to Joe Dee Messa. After school Carla answered the call of her music with the support of her parents and recorded her first five singles with Trails End Records, an independant label working through RCA Records.
When Carla's singles reached the ears of Norro Wilson of RCA RECORDS, Norro asked Carla to come to Nashville to continue her education at Belmont College alongside country hopeful Tricia Yearwood. Carla earned her degree in Music Business from Belmont College while working part-time and singing every chance she got.
Spending every moment pursuing her music career, Carla began singing demo's for Polyfox Studio's where her demo's were heard by Brenda Lee and The Judd's. Carla later met Brenda's producer, Andy Courtney who encouraged her to stay in the business and pay her dues. In 1986 Carla experienced a personal tragedy with the death of a dear friend. Carla needed time to heal so she left Nashville and the music business. Carla moved to Durham, North Carolina where she met her husband Steven who plays bass with All American Country. After taking some time off to start her family, Carla is back to her roots and country music. Today Carla is back with a high energy family entertainment show that has thrilled audiences of all ages.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN COUNTRY HAS ARRIVED
Best part of this business is the chance to view artists at work. Once in a while you find one that says YES THAT IS ENTERTAINMENT. I have personally viewed Carla at work. I have not seen a performance to match it except for the stage of THE GRAND OLE OPRY. She entertains and leaves you wanting more. I was in awe of this Lady. Loretta Lynn is called the First Lady of Country Music and I call Carla Wilson THE PRIDE OF COUNTRY MUSIC. She performs at festivals , private events, venue's and weddings. She has been booked by the Fortune 500 companies at many of their functions. Any Festival, Concert Hall or Venue would be blessed by adding this Lady to their line-up for performing artist. If I have my say she will be at the NASHVILLE PALACE next month. I also plan to introduce her to some record company executives while there. If you are a venue wanting Carla Wilson and All American Country you need to book her soon.
